What does it mean when your iMessage says sent as text message?
If you want to text someone that is not connected to the internet, an iMessage will send but not deliver until the recipient turns on their connection. By forcing your phone to send as a text message, the recipient will be able to receive the message as long as they have a mobile network connection.
Am I blocked if iMessage sent as text?
Simply, you are not blocked and the receiver can get the messages. “The text starts as iMessage” means the cellular data or service is not available or out of range. Or you don’t have a strong Wi-Fi signal. “Turns to green and said sent as text messages” means you’ve turned on “Send as SMS” and you are not blocked.
Why would an iMessage turn green?
If your iPhone messages are green, it means that they’re being sent as SMS text messages rather than as iMessages, which appear in blue. iMessages only work between Apple users. You’ll always see green when writing to Android users, or when you’re not connected to the internet.
Does iMessage turn green when phone is off?
When the recipient’s phone is turned off or dead, Apple holds the iMessages sent to that account on its servers and delivers them to the iPhone when the recipient turns it back on. However, this does not mean your contact won’t be able to read your message if the phone is dead.
Why are my iMessages green when texting another iPhone?
If iMessage is switched off either on your iPhone or on the recipient’s iPhone, the message will be sent via SMS and due to this, the message background turned into green color. It might be also the case that the iMessage server is down for temporary either on your iPhone or recipient’s iPhone.
Does green text mean blocked?
If the iMessage never shows a “Delivered” or “Read” message, and it’s still blue, then you may have been blocked – but not always. Remember, when messages are being sent as green instead of blue, that means the phone is attempting to send a traditional SMS text message instead of an iMessage.
How do you know if a green text message was delivered?
If you hold the message bubble and shift the bubble to the left you’ll then see a time stamp which is when the message was sent. As to checking if the person received it, not sure. Can only suggest the above to confirm it left you.
What to do when iMessage turns green?
If you’re still getting Not Delivered errors or green text bubbles, it’s time to begin a variety of turn-it-off-then-turn-it-on-again tricks. In Settings > Messages, turn off iMessage, then turn it back on again.
How do I know if I’m blocked on Iphone?
If you get a notification like “Message Not Delivered” or you get no notification at all, that’s a sign of a potential block. Next, you could try calling the person. If the call goes right to voicemail or rings once (or a half ring) then goes to voicemail, that’s further evidence you may have been blocked.
